German publishing company Bauer Consumer Media sold mobile content platform Yospace Technologies for just GBP1 (USD1.58) in April 2009, according to the company’s accounts. The sale came just two years after Bauer Consumer Media, known as Emap before it was acquired by Bauer at the end of 2009, bought Yospace for GBP8.7m (USD13.8m). Bauer says the company no longer had a place in its plans due to emerging trends in the mobile market. Yospace now claims to be owned by private investors.
