SPOTLIGHT: Facebook goes exec shopping at Google
As Facebook's push towards monetisation goes into overdrive, the network is continuing to recruit execs from all over the digital marketplace, with a particular fondness for ex-Google staff. Facebook's new CFO, ex-Genentech finance chief, David Ebersman, is the most eye-catching appointment, filling a position that has been vacant since April. But the hiring of former Google Adsense execs Greg Badros and Grady Burnett is also of interest to analysts, who say it proves Facebook is serious about cashing in on its users.
