UK operators set for T-Mobile bidding war

Signs that Deutsche Telekom may be prepared to sell UK mobile operator T-Mobile UK may start a bidding war between the UK’s major mobile service providers. The German telecoms company is having a difficult time fending off calls from investors to sell T-Mobile UK, most notably private equity firm Blackstone, following a USD2.4bn write-down on its UK arm last quarter.
