Investors pour USD100m into iPhone app startups

Venture capitalists have invested more than US100m in iPhone app startups in the two years since the apps were first released, according to a report by investor information resource ChubbyBrain. Investors have spread the money across 17 app startups, with Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers’ iFund leading the way with USD50m allocated to six startups, including Booyah and iControl.
