Facebook shakes up privacy settings

Facebook is testing ways to simplify its privacy settings in a bid to be more transparent about how much user data it shares on the web, in a move that could threaten to upset its user base. The network will collapse its existing privacy settings, which are spread across several pages, into one interface, and encourage users to update their settings with a new 'transition tool'.
