Free music-streaming service Spotify hopes to branch into video streams in a couple of years and has revealed its long-term aim to file for an IPO. The news hints at ambitious plans from the young company, despite leaving question marks over its viability as a sustainable business. Though Spotify has gained widespread UK media attention and is reported to have more than 500,000 users in the UK alone, its revenues were as little as GBP82,000 (USD135,000) in May, according to unconfirmed figures published by The Register.
