Spending on media advertising will fall 5.5% to USD417bn in 2009, an increase on the previously predicted 4.4%, according to global media specialist and WPP subsidiary GroupM. The group's latest forecast claims there will be a mild overall recovery in 2010 when spending will only be down by a further 1.4%, to USD411bn.
