More than 11m people have downloaded the new version of Apple’s Safari internet browser in the first three days after its launch on June 8, according to Apple. The firm claims more than 6m of the downloads were for the Windows version, which it says is eight times faster than Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8 and four times faster than Firefox 3.
