Online lender Wonga raises USD22m

London-based Wonga has raised USD22.2m in a Series B funding round led by Accel Partners, Greylock Partners and return investor Balderton Capital. The firm operates an online money lending service and provides round-the-clock, short-term loans. Wonga claims it can deposit a loan amount of up to GBP750 (USD1,200) within an hour of application. The firm was founded in 2007 by Errol Damelin.
