Netbook sales save Europe’s slumping PC market

Netbook sales are keeping the PC market in west Europe afloat as the recession takes its toll on the industry. Total unit shipments in the region were up by only 0.7% year-on-year in Q1 2009 to a total of 15.3m, according to Gartner Research.
