Cloud software market set to rocket

The software-as-a-service (SaaS) market is set to expand rapidly this year to reach a record USD8bn, according to Gartner research. Gartner says the cloud-based software industry will grow by 22% in 2009 and average growth of 19.4% over the next four years. It says the market will be worth more than USD16bn by 2013.
