Amazon launches free movie streaming on IMDb

Amazon will let users stream full-length movies and TV shows for free on its films information hub, the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). The service will feature around 6,000 titles from CBS, Sony Pictures, video platform Hulu Television and some 500 independent filmmakers, says Amazon. The firm adds that rights owners and directors will also be able to apply online to upload their movies to the platform.
