Online advertising accounted for 15.3% of all UK spending on advertising last year - up from 11.4% in 2006 - and is set to surpass TV advertising in 2009. A joint research by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB), PricewaterhouseCoopers and the World Advertising Research Centre says that GBP2.8bn (USD5.5bn) was spent on online advertising in 2007, a 38% increase from the year before.
