Mobile agencies launch rival industry promotion schemes

Mobile agencies, Inside and Marvellous Mobile, are launching two rival plans to promote the mobile marketing and advertising industry because of the apparent lack of a strong industry representative body. Launch of the two schemes comes at the same time the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) announces 4th Screen Advertising as its first mobile agency member and the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) says it is undertaking ongoing work on mobile advertising. Inside says its scheme aims to stimulate industry debate and collaboration to promote best practice. Marvellous Mobile says its scheme is driven by a need to create the first brand-friendly, consumer-focused trade body.
